February 2013: Florence Welch Lookbook

When I see Florence Welch in magazines or on the internet, her style is something that makes me instantly think, damn, I would so turn straight for her'. Whether in the architecturally crafted creations of McQueen, the hard hitting, head to toe prints of Erdem or the classic and chic Chanel, this girl certainly has style, and a style that is admired by every British fashionista. I have loved watching not only her style transform into something iconic but her music too, with the release of a string of number one singles and albums, this girl certainly deserves to be in the spotlight, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Look 1 - When I saw Florence in Look Magazine in this Erdem dress I was stunned at how simple this look is, and yet also how beautiful it is, matched with the Erdem shows which are one of the things I admire most about how she dresses, often with simple hair, simple accessories but killer ensemble clothes. She picked up an award for best music act, you go girl!

Look 2 - A more recent look for the fabulous singer was her look for the 2013 Grammys in which she wore custom-made Givenchy, she has a love for custom made Givenchy when attending music award ceremonies and is a beautiful contrast against her red hair and also brings out the green in her eyes. The singer was nominated for 2 awards including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album for Ceremonials.

Look 3 - In 2013 Florence ROCKED this custom made Gucci dress for the LACMA Art & Film Gala which I talked about in my cover story for her. The contrast of her red hair against the colour of the dress was beautifully matched with killer gold accessories. The dress itself brings a new definition to sexiness with its plunge neck and see through arms, which was a lot different to its original appearance.

Look 4 - This look sparked controversy at the Met Gala back in 2012 and is, of course, an Alexander McQueen concoction. Some slated it, some loved it, and of course I loved it and thought it was different to anything that was at the Gala. It was also compared to Lady Gaga's version of the 'cupcake dress' which she wore back in 2010 at the Brit Awards, both, of course, looked fabulous.

Look 5 - And last but certainly not least, is this street style, more casual look Florence wore at the Venice Film Festival in 2012. She was head to toe in Miu Miu with even her accessories being from the fabulous designer. Spring/Summer 2012 was all about head to toe contrasting prints, so this look was perfect for the moment.
